Family Series
Family 2 Ceramics
9" x 9" x 12"
This series comprises of four sculptures all of them in
glazed ceramic, but made of different hand building techniques viz. -
slab method , pinching method n coil method (creating pipes). The very
basic characteristic of a family is the warmth n togetherness shared
between the members, whether they are in happy , sorrowful , joyful or
plain mood. These different moods or phases in life don't shake the
closeness between a family, therefore it is not the facial expression
that determines a relationship but the inner feelings and warmth which
actually separates out a family among the masses. Thus, my family
series highlights cuddled up parents and children , lost in the joy of
being together , completely engrossed with each other.
