The title is well suited
to the work depicting the nature and play of water ...thus
named AQUA . The various plays of of water are depicted here
by using various symbols The main motive in this work is the
one symbolizing the character of waves . This motif forms
the main part of my work, just as waves are an integral part
of water. While symbolizing waves their force and energy is
specially kept kept in mind , so that the work also radiates
the same energy and force. Next comes the textured part
which symbolizes the underwater elements - corals , rocks
etc. The itchy kind of feeling we experience when we see
these
things has been created here through this texture. We can
see a sun on one side of the pillar, this is to highlight
the play of sunlight on surface of water at different hours
of the day. The reflection of light is shown by using
different metal sheets at various places in between ceramic
arrangement. While metal sheet on one hand symbolizes the
phenomenon of reflection , different colors of metal sheets
are used to show the changing colors of reflection at
different hours of the day. The various shades of blues have
been used to create a soothing and pleasing effect in
viewers eyes . The cool nature of water is conveyed through
the blues used here.
